On 18 December 2019, our international students of the Graduate School of Science visited Rohto Research Village Kyoto (a company-based research center) located in Kizugawa, Kyoto. The purpose of this visit was to look for career opportunities and to gain valuable advice through a discussion with Rohto employees. After warm reception by the Global Human Resource Development Team, we were guided by international staff and toured laboratories analyzing their products. In the information session, the Rohto team introduced the Rohto Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., with its signature products such as eye drops and skincare products. In a group discussion, we split into two groups with Rohto staff members, and our international students actively asked a lot of questions related to their future careers. This visit was supported by the International Affairs Committee of the Graduate School of Science.
