We held a special lecture by Dr. Charles Elachi (Former Director, NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory)

Co-organized with the U.S. Consulate General Osaka-Kobe, we held a special lecture by Dr. Charles Elachi (Former Director of NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory).

In this lecture, Dr. Elachi talked about the Mars exploration mission that he was involved in and the planet revealed by the space exploration. Approximately 170 people, including students, faculty and staff, participated in the Nambu Yoichiro Hall. Many students flew up questions and it was a very meaningful time. Also, Dr. Elachi gave us warm messages to challenge what you think would be fun even if it was difficult. At the end of the lecture, many students queued for Dr. Elachi’s sign.

After the lecture, we introduced the laboratory in the Graduate School of Science. We introduced the multi-turn time-of-flight mass spectrometer “MULTUM” developed by the faculty member of our school for the research contents and space explorer.

After that, we held an exchange meeting with some students, and they positively asked questions, not to miss valuable opportunities to listen to the stories, and they seemed to be stimulated very much.

This lecture was a very fruitful and wonderful time for our university.
