From November 5th (Tue) to 7th (Thu), 2024, we visited five universities in Taiwan (College of Science, National Sun Yat-sen University (COS-NSYU); College of Science, National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (COS-NYCU); College of Science, National Tsing Hua University (COS-NTHU); College of Science, National Taiwan University (COS-NTU); and College of Continuing Education, National Taiwan Normal University (COCE-NTNU)).
The participants from Graduate School of Science (GSS), Osaka University were: Prof. Tadashi Kondo (Dean), Prof. Akio Fujiwara (Associate Dean), Prof. Takashi Kubo (Associate Dean), Prof. Mikito Koshino (Chair of the International Affairs Committee), Prof. Yuki Kondo (Department of Biological Sciences), and Lecturer Yuri Kamon (International Affairs Committee member).
During this Taiwan visit, the signing ceremony for the Double Degree Program (DDP) was held at the COS-NSYU and the COS-NTHU, and we discussed further developing academic and student exchanges. At all universities, we exchanged information to promote international research collaborations and student exchanges between universities and departments. In particular, we introduced the degree programs i.e., IPC, SISC, and DDP offered in English at GSS, and discussed future international research and student exchanges.
Based on the results of this visit, we will continue to promote further international research exchanges and human resource development in the future.
