Huang Xuhao(China), Second year of doctoral program

Department of Chemistry, Special Integrated Science Course (SISC)

Hello, I am Xuhao from China. When I was in my senior year of college, I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to study abroad at Osaka University for half a year. This experience had a profound impact on me, and it made me realize how much I wanted to continue my education in Japan. So after I graduated, I decided to pursue my Master’s degree in the special integrated science course (SISC) at Osaka University, with a major in Chemistry. And now I am a Ph.D student here. I am also the student in the multidisciplinary PhD program for pioneering quantum beam application.

My research is multidisciplinary, and I frequently collaborate with researchers from various fields such as medicine, biochemistry, organic chemistry, and pharmacology. We attend various academic conferences and seminars, where we get to share our findings and engage in thought-provoking discussions with other professionals

When I first arrived in Japan, my Japanese language skills were limited. I am eternally grateful to the Science Buddy at the Graduate School of Science for their unwavering support. They have organized countless activities and offered language classes, enabling international students like myself to experience Japanese culture and make new friends. These experiences have enriched my study abroad journey and have left me with memories and friendships that I will cherish forever.

Studying at Osaka University has not only allowed me to further my education and pursue my research interests, but it has also given me the chance to immerse myself in a new culture and learn a new language. I am truly grateful for this opportunity, and I believe that it will be an invaluable asset in my future endeavors. If you’re considering studying abroad in Japan, I highly recommend Osaka University.
