Supported by the “Sakura Science Exchange Program” organized by the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST), we invited seven graduate students and two researchers from Mahidol University and Chiang Mai University, Thailand, to the Graduate School of Science (GSS), Osaka University, from January 20 to January 24, 2025.
During the visit, the invitees explored chemistry laboratories in Toyonaka and Suita campuses, the Museum of Osaka University, and Tekijuku to learn the university’s history and research facilities of Osaka University. As part of laboratory tours, they had the opportunity to experience the remote-operation system for shared equipment at the analytical instrument facility in the GSS. Moreover, the program invitees visited a startup company, Alpha Fusion Inc., together with the GSS students. On the final day of their stay, we hosted the ASEAN-OU Chemistry Symposium 2025, an international symposium featuring members from Universiti Sains Malaysia (Malaysia), this program invitees, and GSS members. This event served as a platform to promote academic exchange and collaboration.
